Environmental Protection Act - General Waste Management

We adhere to all requirements under Part V of the Environmental Protection Act and Ontario Regulation 347, which governs the generation, collection, transportation, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste including pathological and biomedical materials.

Management of Biomedical Waste in Ontario

We follow all requirements outlined in the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks Guideline C-4 for proper segregation, containment, labeling, storage, and disposal of biomedical waste.

  • Proper segregation from all other waste streams
  • Yellow-labeled sharps containers with universal biohazard symbols
  • Refrigerated storage protocols (≤4°C) where required
  • Treatment standards achieving 6 Log10 (99.9999%) bacterial spore reduction
